Passing the Time

I haven't been able to get the greatest pictures of Lexi lately. Whenever I get the camera out she stops what she was doing and wants the camera. It doesn't matter how sneaky I am. I sure have been enjoying her. She is learning so much. It's so much fun to watch her. Here are some of my favorite things to observe:

-She likes to play with her big Mega Bloks. She dumps them out of the bag and starts building unstable towers.
-We have a jar of pens she loves to take them out, move them somewhere else and put some of them back in. She's so thoughtful as she does it. (Thankfully she doesn't usually take the lids off or click the pens open.)
-She loves to climb into our glider rocking chair. Sometimes she takes a book with her and sits there to "read"
-She loves cats and dogs. When she sees them on TV (or in books or in person) she gets so excited. It cracks me up.
-She likes to walk around with paper and a pen. She pretends to write on the paper. She looks like a little secretary taking important notes. Along those lines of being all grown up she likes to climb up and "use" the computer whenever we're not looking. As much as I don't want her to do it, it is pretty cute.
-The last couple days she's loved playing with her little glow worm doll. I've wrapped it up in a blanket and she carries it around like her little baby. If the blanket falls off she brings it back to get it wrapped up again. It gets me excited for her to have a little brother. She's going to be a great big sister.
-She loves balls. Basketballs, tennis balls..... all balls. She likes to carry them around, roll them on the floor, and kick them. If she sees a basketball game on TV she starts clapping and watches intently (for about a minute).
-She also enjoys dancing. Turn the radio on or if there's a fun song on a movie or commercial she likes to twirl and shake. During general conference she spun in circles to the tabernacle choir. :) It was silly.
Here she is sleeping with the glow worm she has been babying.

Playing with pens.

"Typing" on the computer. She usually climbs up on the desk but I moved the chair away. I was surprised she could still pull out the keyboard from there.

I get so excited thinking about Lexi's little brother! I have a feeling Lexi will be a fantastic big sister.

All her favorite activities sound oh so fun! Ian would thoroughly enjoy a play date with her, I am sure!

This is a great post; it really gives a glimpse into the little girl you get to spend so much time with. It's funny to me to see how different your little girl acts from my little boy. Both are very active and smart, but the gender differences are there from so early!
