1st Snow of the Season

We just recently purchased all the snow gear Lexi would need for the winter. We didn't think we'd need to use it so soon. Last Saturday morning we woke up to SNOW!! We were just having warm summer weather and then BAMM!! We went to my parent's house where they had even more snow. It just kept coming down. It felt like December instead of October.

This was really Lexi's first experience out in the snow. Last year we planned to take her outside to play but it just never happened. Lexi likes to have things clean. She was not happy with snow on her boots. She would whine and try to wipe it all off. It was pretty silly. I think she will have a fun winter.

We got home from my parent's house Sunday night and all of our snow was gone! We were shocked they had tons of snow there and they live only 45 minutes away. The weather seems to be "normal" now for this time of year. Who knows when another storm will hit though...

Monette and Mark said...: We were at DI the other day and Mark found my shirt. (I decided everyone would have to revolve around me since I have VERY few nice shirts that fit right now.) I bought Mark's shirt years ago as a possible engagemnt picture shirt. I found Lexi's jacket at DI a few months ago and HAD to buy it. It was way cute and orange. Isaac is wearing Caleb's brown romper that you lent us. It's a bit big but I figured it would work perfectly for the picture.; October 21, 2008 at 10:36 PM

Out of the Mouth of Babes

April '10

Lexi wanted me to trace her foot on one of those magnetic drawing boards. So I traced her foot but didn't go between all the toes and when I was done I said, "There, how's that," Disappointed she said, "Uh, not so good. " And put her hand down to be traced instead.
March '10:

Usually when we go out as a family to eat we go to Arctic Circle. They have a fun kid's play zone there. One night we all went out to eat at Chilli's. We were all happily eating our food and Mark leaned over to Isaac and said, "This is fun isn't it?" Lexi disagreed, "There's no slide here," and took another bite.
March '10:
It was REALLY windy one day and I heard a thump outside. The wind had knocked over the garbage can and I told Lexi what happened. Her response, "Not a good choice, wind!!" with her finger up in the air.

Lexi: Peanut Butter

Lexi was laying on my lap. When I asked if she was tired she said,"I'm going to sleep here." I tickled her a little and she said, "Don't tickle me. I'm not laughing." A few seconds later... "Tickle me!"

Mark was getting Lexi a drink and requested one of Isaac's sippy cups. Mark asked why she wanted that one and she replied, "'cause I'm silly"

We got a blue Hawaiian Punch that Lexi had never had before. She took a sip of it, looked at her cup and said, "Mmm that good! I feel better!"
