2 Years Old!!

Alexis turned 2 years old on February 28th. I can't believe my baby girl is 2! I'm sure I'll feel that way at every birthday she ever has. I think she's been a bit slower to talk but she's now adding new words to her vocabulary everyday. Sometimes I'm not sure what she's talking about but that's when we start playing a guessing game and she says no until I get it right. We've had ups and downs with potty training but I think overall she is doing great. Most often she wakes up dry in the morning and after her nap. I have quit diapers on her all together. She either wears pull-ups or her Elmo panties. Last Saturday we went out of town and took the top of her potty with us to attach to other potties. Even with all the traveling she managed to stay dry ALL day. I was so impressed and shocked that she did so well. Lexi enjoys playing in her little kitchen and taking car of her baby dolls. She loves drinking milk in her sippy and hot dogs are a favorite for lunch. We love our Lexi girl!!!

I am so impressed with all the potty training advancements! Staying dry all day... ON VACATION! That is an incredible feat for a two year old, right? Way to go!

Lexi is an adorable little girl.

And Happy 6 months to Isaac too! My oh my how fast time has gone. I love picturing him arming crawling around after Lexi. And 5 teeth! He sounds like a force to be reckoned with!; March 16, 2009 at 4:47 AM

Out of the Mouth of Babes

April '10

Lexi wanted me to trace her foot on one of those magnetic drawing boards. So I traced her foot but didn't go between all the toes and when I was done I said, "There, how's that," Disappointed she said, "Uh, not so good. " And put her hand down to be traced instead.
March '10:

Usually when we go out as a family to eat we go to Arctic Circle. They have a fun kid's play zone there. One night we all went out to eat at Chilli's. We were all happily eating our food and Mark leaned over to Isaac and said, "This is fun isn't it?" Lexi disagreed, "There's no slide here," and took another bite.
March '10:
It was REALLY windy one day and I heard a thump outside. The wind had knocked over the garbage can and I told Lexi what happened. Her response, "Not a good choice, wind!!" with her finger up in the air.

Me: What's your favorite color?

Lexi: Peanut Butter

3/1/10

Lexi was laying on my lap. When I asked if she was tired she said,"I'm going to sleep here." I tickled her a little and she said, "Don't tickle me. I'm not laughing." A few seconds later... "Tickle me!"

2/16/10

Mark was getting Lexi a drink and requested one of Isaac's sippy cups. Mark asked why she wanted that one and she replied, "'cause I'm silly"

2/13/10

We got a blue Hawaiian Punch that Lexi had never had before. She took a sip of it, looked at her cup and said, "Mmm that good! I feel better!"
