Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving with Mark's family. Everyone was there except for Mark's brother who is on his mission. I never took any pictures of Thanksgiving itself... The day after (Thanksgiving) we went to Leslie's Gulch. Lexi had fun exploring as she tried not to get dirty. Silly girl. She found a spider, a grasshopper and cool green rocks.

It was a pretty hard/fun hike getting way up here. There were lots of loose rocks that just slid out from under us.

We mostly slid down all the way on our feet and rear ends.

We had an Eagle Court of Honor for two of Mark's little brothers. Our brother-in-law had earned his eagle years ago but never received the award. His wife surprised him and arranged it so he could be a part of this court of honor and receive his award too. He was very surprised.

Out of the Mouth of Babes

April '10

Lexi wanted me to trace her foot on one of those magnetic drawing boards. So I traced her foot but didn't go between all the toes and when I was done I said, "There, how's that," Disappointed she said, "Uh, not so good. " And put her hand down to be traced instead.
March '10:

Usually when we go out as a family to eat we go to Arctic Circle. They have a fun kid's play zone there. One night we all went out to eat at Chilli's. We were all happily eating our food and Mark leaned over to Isaac and said, "This is fun isn't it?" Lexi disagreed, "There's no slide here," and took another bite.
March '10:
It was REALLY windy one day and I heard a thump outside. The wind had knocked over the garbage can and I told Lexi what happened. Her response, "Not a good choice, wind!!" with her finger up in the air.

Me: What's your favorite color?

Lexi: Peanut Butter

Lexi was laying on my lap. When I asked if she was tired she said,"I'm going to sleep here." I tickled her a little and she said, "Don't tickle me. I'm not laughing." A few seconds later... "Tickle me!"

2/16/10

Mark was getting Lexi a drink and requested one of Isaac's sippy cups. Mark asked why she wanted that one and she replied, "'cause I'm silly"

We got a blue Hawaiian Punch that Lexi had never had before. She took a sip of it, looked at her cup and said, "Mmm that good! I feel better!"
