Last weekend Lexi and I went on a road trip with my mother-in-law to visit my sister-in-law Janette and her family in Rexburg. On Saturday we were in the mall at Idaho Falls. The kids were playing in the middle of the mall where they have a big plastic tree and other toys to climb on and slide down. I left Lexi with my Janette while I went to find my mother-in-law. When we came back to the play place Janette had throw up all down the front of her shirt. Lexi threw up on her. So Janette and I left the kids with my mother-in-law and went to find a new shirt for Janette. When we returned Lexi was no longer wearing her clothes and my mother-in-law now also had throw up all down the front of her shirt. Great!! I took Lexi to the bathroom to get her cleaned up and changed. On our way to the bathroom she threw up on me too. Eww! She was definitely sick. The only up side to being thrown up on was that we all got new shirts. Poor Lexi girl. The strange thing was even though she was sick she was still pretty happy and pleasant. I was so grateful. When we got back to Janette's she got all ready for bed and went to sleep early and only woke up once in the middle of the night.
The last couple days since we got home Lexi has been very sad and whinny. She just wants to be held and snuggled. I also started to feel pretty yucky Monday and Tuesday. Being sick and having a sick child is not a great combo. It's harder to be patient and loving when all you want to do is sleep. We're so lucky that Mark was able to help us out. He snuggled with Lexi so she would be happy and I could take a nap. Thanks honey!!
Last night Lexi went to bed early at 7:30 and slept straight until 8 this morning. I am so happy to say that today is looking much better. I'm feeling a lot better and Lexi has been up and around playing with her toys (a very good sign). Now we're just crossing our fingers Mark doesn't get sick. I'm so grateful to be healthy and have a healthy happy baby. That's something I often take fore granted.

Ugh, you are so good to look back on that with a grateful heart. That doesn't sound like fun at all. I'm so sorry. There's nothing worse than when your baby is sick. You can't help feeling helpless. Glad to hear you are feeling better now. Those pictures of Lexi "around the house" are darling... she looks like a little explorer.
Yucky. At least moments like those DO make us grateful for good health. That doesn't make it any more fun to be puked on though. :(
Hope that is the last sick bug for this season!
I e-mailed pics to Mark's account cause I couldn't remember if I remembered yours...
Happy B-Day Lexi Lady! Sorry we didn't call while you were awake; I hope you had a fun day!!!
That is quite the day! Glad you are both feeling better, You have such a great outlook on being thrown up on. I wouldn't be able to handle it as great as you!
