A few months back we purchased a crib. I really wanted a cute bumper for it. BUT they can be pretty spendy. Mark offered to help me make a bumper. I have such little experience sewing I was a little hesitant but decided if he was willing to do it with me it could work. Mark did all the math stuff figuring out how long we wanted the different pieces of material so it would all work out. Then we went shopping and found some cute material. It was really fun to do everything together. I'm very pleased with the final product. The only concern now is Lexi trying to use it to climb out of bed. So far she hasn't tried but I think it's only a matter of time. Then we should probably start another project using boyish material...
Only 2 seams left.

Here we go.

The perfect team.

The finished product in it's new home.

Alexis enjoying her new surroundings.

How adorable! I have been planning to make one for months! Your post has given me the courage to really try it. It turned out so nice!
Look at you all crafty and stuff (I mean that in a "wow-you-can-make-an-awesome-bumper-pad" way and not an "I'm devious and full of 'crafty' ideas" way). They are so so incredibly cute! Great job!
Can't wait to see you and your baby in T-minus 2-3 weeks!
SO cute! I love that you made one, because we already have one for a girl--but when we have a boy--I was thinking I would just try making it myself---because YES they are expensive! Nice work. It looks great!!
So impressed! Very cute. Good job guys!
so crafty! it turned out so cute! good job!
ok, so I know I already posted a comment, but would you mind telling me what you used for the inner stuffing stuff?? :)
We found a package of foam that was made for bumpers. We got it at Hancock Fabrics.
