Isaac is two months old as of Monday. Honestly, where does the time go? He's right around 14 pounds now. (I think. He has an appointment tomorrow.) He's such a handsome little man. He flashes his big smile and melts our hearts. He's been cooing and making all kinds of sweet baby noises that make us smile. Lexi is no longer hitting him. We're grateful for that but now she lays on him to hug him. Too much love!
Saturday during Isaac's tummy time Mark asked me if I had put him on his back. I had not. Isaac rolled over for the very first time today! I tried to get him to do it a second time so I could take some pictures but I gave up when he started fussing. Lexi came over and laid down next to him so she could have pictures taken. while I was taking pictures of her he rolled over right into her. The camera was on the wrong setting and I was only taking pictures to humor Lexi. So, the pictures aren't too great but I guess better than nothing.
Saturday I put Lexi in bed for her nap. She got out of bed, as usual, and was playing around. She'd been whining for a while and I started to doubt she would fall asleep. I went in to find her on the dresser. She had cranked the heat up and taken a picture off the wall. Her shoes were thrown all over the room and she'd taken Isaac's clothes out of the dresser and put them in boxes. Because she had refused her nap she was exhausted at dinner time and zonked out.
I sent Mark to find Lexi. She was in our room and quiet so I figured she was probably getting into something she shouldn't. He found her innocently reading in our bed.

that picture of her in your bed is so sweet! Ethan is refusing naps lately also. I also like the picture of her conked out in her high chair! lol. Issac is very cute, it's exciting to see kids changing and learning new things.
When Luke was about 3 months we were at our inlaws and telling them how Luke wasn't rolling over. Then right there in front of us he rolled over. He did it so effortlessly like he'd been doing it for months. They like to surprise us with those things. Sorry Lexi is refusing naps. I'm dreading the day that Luke starts refusing...which I know will be too soon.
OH, SOOO sweet! I love your updates. Keep them coming! :)
Holy cow! He's a fast learner if he's already rolling over! That's so cute! You're such a cute mommy! :)
This is a great post! I love the little glimpse into your life. You are doing so awesome juggling all of the things two kids throw at you!
Congrats Isaac on the rolling over! Monette, at least you were there to catch it right away! Watch out world!
So that whole thing about toddlers hitting and poking eyes out and laying on babies to hug them? Yea, we call that scarey love. Isn't it great when those days pass?!
Issac has grown so much & that pic of Lexi asleep in her high chair is so cute!
I love it! Lexi sounds like she's got such a fun little personality. I'm sure with Isaac around now she feels the need to assert that personality a little more often... haha! I love the highchair picture too. What they do to themselves just to avoid naptime is so silly! I mean common, ask any of the moms out there what they'd give for a good nap!?
