Our little Isaac man turned three months old yesterday. He's getting stronger and cuter everyday. We sure love him.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to teach big sister not to hit people???? I need some advice.

I'm having a bad day with commenting. sorry, i re-read my comment and it seemed really know- it-all and annoying. Isaac is really cute, he is getting big! They grow really fast, don't they? I look at ethan and have trouble imagining he was that small once. Good luck on helping Alexis to not hit, I think you guys are great parents and i'm sure you will think of something.

He is such a cutie! I love 3 month olds. I really feel like babies "wake up" at that age. Ya know?

As for hitting... I plan to check back to your comments to see what advice other offer, because hitting is a problem around here too. (I am a little relieved to know that Lexi is doing it too!) Ian has been hitting baby Joseph from day one. He gets to jealous when I nurse! So yeah, send the wisdom my way when you figure out what to do!

Hi Monette!! One thing Chad's sister Rachel did when she had the twins and they'd hit- is she would put the "hitter" on her lap and fold their arms and hold them for a few minutes. It seemed to be effective- I'll probably end up using that technique. Mallori doesn't have any siblings to hit yet...so tell me how it goes.

How is Twin?? And Assisting Hands?

Monette, I think Kate's idea is great. I've used that before with my kids and it kind of reinforces that their hands were what did the bad thing...does that make sense? Anywho, I can't believe Isaac is 3 months already. I can't believe my baby is 6 weeks already. Where does the time go?

my sister Barb would also hold them and explain that hitting was not acceptable but she also would put them on top of the dryer as a time out. but in my opinion whatever works for you, hitting is one thing that they will eventually grow out of (me and Doug) if they know they will get unpleasant results from the parents.
