Isaac's First Hair Cut

We've been debating about cutting Isaac's hair for a little while now. It was getting pretty long but oh those curls! It was finally getting a bit on the scraggly side when not fixed a little. Plus Mom and Lexi were past due for a trim. So the three of us went to get our hair cut. Isaac's first time and Lexi's second. Here are some before shots.

This is still before just fixed up curly style!

Isaac was not a fan. Even with sister right next to him.

This is the best face. So desperate.

Lex was chill and happy to be there.

Even with a sucker in his hand...

He did calm down and was a pretty good sport.

After:

I actually wanted hers a bit shorter but apparently didn't make that clear before hand. When she was done Daddy was there and I was getting my hair trimmed. If she'd let me put her hair up in pony or pig tails I'd love this length. But she won't...

Wavy style.

Out of the Mouth of Babes

April '10

Lexi wanted me to trace her foot on one of those magnetic drawing boards. So I traced her foot but didn't go between all the toes and when I was done I said, "There, how's that," Disappointed she said, "Uh, not so good. " And put her hand down to be traced instead.
March '10:

Usually when we go out as a family to eat we go to Arctic Circle. They have a fun kid's play zone there. One night we all went out to eat at Chilli's. We were all happily eating our food and Mark leaned over to Isaac and said, "This is fun isn't it?" Lexi disagreed, "There's no slide here," and took another bite.
March '10:
It was REALLY windy one day and I heard a thump outside. The wind had knocked over the garbage can and I told Lexi what happened. Her response, "Not a good choice, wind!!" with her finger up in the air.

Me: What's your favorite color?

Lexi: Peanut Butter

Lexi was laying on my lap. When I asked if she was tired she said,"I'm going to sleep here." I tickled her a little and she said, "Don't tickle me. I'm not laughing." A few seconds later... "Tickle me!"

2/16/10

Mark was getting Lexi a drink and requested one of Isaac's sippy cups. Mark asked why she wanted that one and she replied, "'cause I'm silly"

2/13/10

We got a blue Hawaiian Punch that Lexi had never had before. She took a sip of it, looked at her cup and said, "Mmm that good! I feel better!"
